The doors open at 8.40am for you to go straight to class and begin learning. The morning bell rings at 8.50am and the doors shut at 9.00am. Members of the school senior leadership team stand at the entrance doors to welcome you and shake your hand every day.
You have a 15-minute break in the morning from 10.45am until 11.00am. At the end of break a bell rings and you line up with your class. Your teacher meets you on the playground to bring you back into class.
Lunchtime starts at 12.30pm and lasts for 50 minutes. If you are school dinners, there are three choices to choose from. You can sit wherever you like in the hall and children having dinners and sandwiches can sit together! You can help yourself to free milk which is served by Year 6 children. After eating your lunch, you can play outside with your friends. There’s apparatus and play equipment for you to use and you can listen to music.
The bell rings at 1.20pm for the afternoon session. Again, you line up with your class and your teacher meets you to bring you in.
Assemblies are in the hall, sometimes in the morning and sometimes in the afternoon. Friday is a celebration assembly and is always in the morning after registration. Two children are chosen by their teacher each week to celebrate their learning with the whole school and their parents or carers (who will be invited to the assembly). If you achieve a Headteacher’s Award or Merit Award, these are presented to you in this assembly.
The school day ends at 3.15pm.
